Deborah’s love for illustration began as a child after being drawn in by the silly and colorful characters of Dr. Seuss books. Equipped with a pastel set her mother had given her and a vivid imagination, she started doodling her own characters. Animations like Wallace and Gromit, My Neighbor Totoro and Corpse Bride continued to influence her style, but over time she developed her own unique signature style. Deborah mainly draws with pastels and typically uses bright, bold colors and incorporates shadows into her characters, bringing them to life.
Deborah attended college at Penn State University and then transferred to San Jose State University where she graduated with an art degree. She currently is a freelance illustrator and resides in Northern California.
