As a stay at home mother who describes herself as lacking domestic inclination, sitting at the kitchen table with her paints and pencils at the end of every day is like stepping into a wonderful dream for Heidi.

Heidi rediscovered her passion for drawing in 2014 when she joined the 52 Week Illustration Challenge. After seeing her work on the challenge wall, Koala Books approached her to illustrate ‘Two Birds on a Wire,’ written by Coral Vass and due for release in September 2015.

In March 2015, Heidi won the KBR Illustration Award and, in July 2015, the CYA Illustrated Picture Book Award. She holds a BVA Hons Grad Dip Ed and has an extensive background in ceramics.

Now that Heidi’s three small children are growing older, she would love to take on more illustration work!
