As a kid, while others were outside getting dirty, Michele passed the time reading Judy Blume, drawing Garfield comics and making friendship bracelets to sell on the playground. For her 10th birthday she asked for a pink typewriter. Michele was always a quiet soul with a creative intellect. But she shelved her creativity while attending NYU and law school because of the demands of her studies. The tragic loss of her father in 2001 sparked the need for an emotional outlet. So, Michele turned to the solace that comes with putting thoughts to paper, and she wrote. Years later with the birth of her two children Michele’s writing turned joyful. She has found her happy place in writing for children and even though the demands of daily life continue (as a practicing attorney and mother) she makes time for herself to write. Life is just too short not to.

Michele is represented by Stephanie Hansen at Metamorphosis Literary Agency. (Contact). Michele graduated cum laude from both New York University and Brooklyn Law School. Her debut children’s picture book “My Superhero Grandpa” is the recipient of a 2016 Children’s Moonbeam Book Award.
