Rachel Bianco Tribble has worked as a newspaper reporter and columnist, radio and television host, magazine editor, and marketing executive. Having recently moved from Georgia to South Dakota with her family, she enjoys winter sledding in the parks and summer bike rides along the Big Sioux River.

Living in the Midwest has given Rachel great inspiration for her work, allowing her to focus on writing and illustrating children’s picture books — something she has always longed to do.

A native of Brooklyn, New York, Rachel is a graduate of the University of Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism. She has received broadcast awards from the Georgia News Network and United Press International, as well as writing awards from the Georgia Associated Press and the Georgia Press Association. Her most recent recognition came from the Georgia Press Association Better Newspaper Contest where she earned first-place distinction in the humorous column competition.

When she’s not writing or painting in her sunroom, Rachel enjoys teaching Sunday School and serving as a volunteer at her boys’ schools. She is a member of the Children’s Society of Book Writers and Illustrators.
