Forgiveness is a poem from my collection Musing Along the Ike. Musing contains free verse poetry and prose with a array of figurative language, imagery, and narrative expressing universal concerns and everyday life experiences. Some of the poems and prose express a very serious tone while others convey irony, humor and joy. I wrote Forgiveness to encourage forgiveness of self and others. Each day provides opportunities to be kind, to mend relationships and to practice self-love. Each day reminds me 'to begin again..."
Forgiveness

A Poem…

The withered
brown leaves
fall from the trees

Like the failures
of the past
the wind carries them away

Spring will come
nourishing you with hope
bringing her gentle rains

Softly she will open
each delicate petal
of your heart

Beckoning you
to begin again
to begin again
